[epa_bristolbay] Comment or register for the peer review meeting by July 23

As of July 16, there were ten days left in the public comment period for the Draft Bristol Bay Watershed Assessment.  Comments can be sent online,
by e-mail and by fax.  Mailed comments should be postmarked by July 23, 2012.  Please submit your comments to EPA Docket
#EPA-HQ-ORD-2012-0276.  Instructions, addresses and links for sending comments are on the EPA Bristol Bay website   www.epa.gov/bristolbay

July 23 is also the last day to register as an observer or commenter for the Peer Review Panel meeting that will be held in Anchorage on August 7 - 9, 2012.  You must register in advance by July 23, 2012 to attend this meeting, either as an observer or to make oral comments.  Please note that only the first two days of the panel meeting are open to the public.  Here is the link to sign up for peer review registration:  www.versar.com/epa/bristolbayregistration.html.  For more information about the peer review meeting, please contact:  Brittany Ekstrom at Versar, Inc. BEckstrom@versar.com (703) 642-6767.

The charge questions for the Peer Review Panel were revised and finalized following input from the public.  Read them here on the EPA Bristol Bay website.  These questions will guide the panel as they review the scientific and technical merit of the draft Bristol Bay watershed assessment.

Reminder:  This week we will be hosting two webinars with the overview presentation that was given at earlier public meetings. This is a good opportunity if you were not able to attend a meeting, or if you are still drafting comments on the assessment. The times listed for these webinars are in Pacific (Seattle) Time.

Tuesday, July 17  2:30 - 3:30 p.m. PDT Register to attend at:  https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/256406382
