So You Think You Can Dance Alaska?

July 11, 2012 (Anchorage, Alaska) – Just like the hit television series, So You Think You Can Dance, the Alaska Competition will amaze and inspire you at the National Dance Day Celebration in Town Square on Saturday, July 14th from 1:00 – 5:00pm.  Watch talented dancers skilled in everything from Hip Hop, Krumping and Popping to Salsa, Quickstep and Jive compete!

Strap your dancing shoes on for the So You Think You Can Dance Alaska Competition or cheer on your favorite dancer at this one time event.  Watch as Alaska’s best dancers compete and perform to win prizes, titles and become the champion of Alaska’s So You Think You Can Dance Competition.

There will be solo performers, duo and groups performing for prizes in both youth and teen/adult categories. Interested participants can register at www.AnchorageDowntown.org or at the event - show up early to register.

1-1:30pm         Creative Movement class with Sarah Grunwaldt for ages 4-8

2:00pm            So You Think You Can Dance Alaska Competition

4:00pm            Open Dance– Free Dance Lessons!
