Rep. Gardner Mourns the Loss of Former State Representative Cheryl Heinze

Alaska Rep. Berta Gardner expressed her profound sympathy on the loss of former Alaska State Representative Cheryl Heinze who died late Tuesday in a plane crash in Homer. 

Rep. Berta Gardner who serves in the same Midtown Anchorage State House seat previously held by Rep. Heinze said, “I am deeply saddened by the Cheryl’s tragic death.  She was strongly committed to helping people and making Anchorage and our state a better place. Cheryl was a very sweet person who worked across party lines to get things done.  She was my friend and I will miss her.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially with her husband Harold. ”
