Terrorism Based on “Bankrupt” Ideology
Alaskan Impact: Though thousands of miles from New York City and other previous terrorist targets, Alaska is not insulated from our own national security threats, especially infrastructure like the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Less than a month before the Summer Olympics begin and raise security concerns worldwide, a panel of experts warned the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Americans to not be complacent.

Alaskan Impact: National security leaks coming out of the White House have dominated recent news reports. Senator Murkowski has joined her Senate colleagues in demanding answers from Attorney General Eric Holder about the “avalanche of leaks.” Today, the House Judiciary Committee examined the issue.

The Tax Hikes of Health Care Reform
Alaskan Impact: A recent Washington Post/ABC poll published this week shows a majority of Americans disagree with the White House’s health care policies. Though the Supreme Court upheld health care reform in a legal challenge, they recognized the controversial and confusing law is only constitutional only as a tax – a $2.6 trillion tax on Americans over the next 10 years.
