Local Residents Attend Program at Disney Theme Park
Anchorage, AK (Grassroots Newswire) July 5, 2012 -The following local youth traveled to a Disney theme park to take part in one of the Disney Youth Education Series Programs (Y.E.S.): * Girl Scouts of Alaska #163 of Anchorage traveled to the Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort on May 21, 2012 to take part in the Disney Animation Magic program. * Girl Scouts of Alaska #163 of Anchorage traveled to the Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort on May 22, 2012 to take part in the Properties of Motion program. * Girl Scouts of Alaska #163 of Anchorage traveled to the Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort on May 23, 2012 to take part in the Pursuit of Excellence program. Each year, individuals and groups from around the world travel to Disney theme parks to take part in one of the several Disney Y.E.S. programs offered throughout the Resort. Most of the programs take place in and behind the scenes of the world-famous Theme Parks. Areas of study include career discovery, life management, physical science, natural science, history, and art and humanities. The programs use varied resources onstage and backstage to bring real world examples to the learning experience. These two- to three-hour interactive educational experiences are available at both the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.
