49th State Angel Fund Workshop
Prospective applicants to the 49th State Angel Fund are invited to attend one of two no-cost Financial Workshops hosted by Anchorage CPA firm Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. on Thursday, July 26. Two separate 1 ½ hour workshops will be held, one for start-up businesses and one for businesses that have been operating for 3 years or more. The location will be determined based the number of applicants that express interest in attending the workshops, which will focus on financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, and business valuation.
“We welcome this generous volunteer effort from Mikunda, Cottrell & Co.,” said Municipal CFO Lucinda Mahoney. “This private sector support and partnership will ultimately make 49th State Angel Fund applicant companies stronger and more successful.”
The workshops are free and open to prospective Angel Fund applicants, although advance registration is required. Registration priority will be given to those who attended the Municipality’s Angel Fund Boot Camp on July 10, 2012. All other registrants will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants interested in attending should email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain registration details.
August 5th is the deadline for applications to the 49th State Angel Fund for 2012, the first round of the fund’s investments. The fund takes applications both direct from businesses seeking investment and from accredited investors proposing locally-focused Angel and VC funds.
