Local Firm Wins Advertising Awards
Porcaro Communications akes three Telly Awards
Anchorage – Porcaro Communications, an Anchorage advertising agency, won three awards in the 31st annual Telly Awards, a competition for advertising and communications firms.
This year Porcaro won a silver Telly award (the highest award) for its commercial produced for for DigiTel, “Like a Rocket, Man.” Porcaro won a bronze awards in the visual effects category for its GCI commercial “Northern Lights” and a bronze award in the Business-to-Consumer campaign, “Rural Wireless.”
The Telly Awards honor the best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. This year’s competition received 11,000 entries from ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies, interactive agencies and corporations in all 50 states and numerous countries.
A panel of over 500 industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition. The judges rate each entry on a 10-point scale. Generally, entries with a score from our judges of 9.0 or higher are awarded a “Silver Telly.” Entries with an average score of 7.0 to 8.9 are awarded a “Bronze Telly” statuette for outstanding achievement.
