UIC Construction Services Hire HSE Manager
Anchorage, Alaska (January 8, 2014) – Michael Collins has joined UIC Construction Services, LLC (UICCS) as HSE Manager, announced David Klopp, UICCS General Manager. In his role Collins will ensure regulatory compliance, accident prevention, spill response, and the implementation of project safety and health programs for the 5 construction companies of UICCS which include: Kautaq Construction LLC, SIKU Construction LLC, Rockford Corporation, UIC Construction LLC, and UIC First Nations Construction Services. Additionally, he will lead HSE management at UICCS to a more safe and injury free work environment.
Collins has extensive professional training and HSE experience in science, emergency medicine, fire safety, and oil and gas drilling operations within the Federal government, corporate, and public environments. Most recently he served as the Safety Manager for the USAF Civil Engineering Group at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. Prior to that, he was the HSE Manager at CH2M Hill for the Denali Alaska Gas Pipeline Project.
Collins earned bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Science Education from Oregon State University along with Construction and General Industry Safety & Health Specialist Certificates from the University of Washington.
