Leadership developed on the job ensures consistency and adds new dimension

Anchorage, ALASKA—Northwest Strategies (NWS), a full-service advertising and public relations agency, has named Tiffany Tutiakoff president.

She moves into a role that company owner Tim Woolston has served for more than a decade.

Woolston continues as CEO and says this promotion signifies Tutiakoff’s skill set, industry knowledge and the agency’s need to serve a rapidly expanding portfolio of clients.

“Tiffany is a rarity among communication professionals—especially in Alaska,” said Woolston.

“Creatively, her work stretches the imagination, but is always rooted in science.

No matter how difficult the task, Tiffany remains focused on results.

“It was clear to me from the day we hired Tiffany more than eight years ago that she had the intellect, work ethic and drive to take this company, and our clients, to new heights.” Tutiakoff has served as vice president of account services at NWS for the past four years, overseeing much of the company’s day to day operations account services and managing clients, such as the State of Alaska’s Tobacco Prevention and Control Program and the Hotel Captain Cook.

Prior to becoming vice president, Tutiakoff held a variety of positions at NWS, learning and growing with the company.

Tutiakoff is an award-winning communications professional and published author with more than a decade of communications and commercial art experience.

She has grown up and lived her adult life all over Alaska, gaining a valuable statewide perspective on life in the last frontier.

Tutiakoff’s Athabascan and Yup’ik heritage, paired with her personal and professional work with the Alaska Native community, has provided NWS and her clients valuable insight to effectively work with Alaska Native groups in a culturally appropriate manner.

Tutiakoff is proud of NWS and her team, “Serving our clients and our state, that is what NWS is about.

I learned that here and help pass it on to our staff.

I couldn’t be more pleased to lead an agency that takes Alaska seriously, and genuinely cares about the future of this state and our people.” About NWS: Based in Anchorage, NWS (nwstrat.com) is an Alaska Native-owned full-service marketing, advertising and public relations firm, with 25 employees and a diverse portfolio of clients.

The company’s experience spans many industries, and includes clients such as the State of Alaska's Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, Era Alaska, Alaska Regional Hospital, First Alaskans Institute, and the Hotel Captain Cook.

NWS is a results-focused agency, committed to long-term business partnerships.
