BBNC Promotion and new Employees


Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Andria Agli and the hiring of three new employees to its corporate office: Suanne Fechtmeyer, Nancy Schierhorn and Kinka Parker.

Andria Agli was promoted to Vice President, Shareholder & Corporate Relations in December 2012. Andria is a BBNC shareholder from South Naknek who has worked for the corporation since 1992. She has held a variety of positions within the executive team and currently manages all of BBNC’s external and internal communications, along with all shareholder services. “Andria’s knowledge and understanding of BBNC and the Bristol Bay region are invaluable resources,” said Jason Metrokin, president and CEO of BBNC. “She is an integral part of our team and will continue to prosper in her new position.” Andria holds a master’s degree in rural development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Suanne Fechtmeyer joined BBNC in October 2012 as its Corporate Tax Manager. Suanne brings more than 30 years of experience in tax consulting and corporate tax to her new position, and most recently was employed by KPMG. Her main responsibilities at BBNC are federal and state income tax accounting, compliance and controversy matters. Suanne holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting, both from the University of Florida.

Nancy Schierhorn joined BBNC in November 2012 as its Associate General Counsel. Nancy has long term family ties to the Bristol Bay region. Prior to joining BBNC, she worked as Senior Counsel at Patton Boggs LLP, and spent the last three years serving ExxonMobil Corporation in its efforts to permit and build a natural gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope. Her main responsibilities at BBNC include advising BBNC and its subsidiaries on all facets of its business enterprises, including oilfield services, construction and government contracting. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound and a Juris Doctorate from Williamette University.

Kinka Parker is a BBNC shareholder from Togiak who joined BBNC this month as its Natural Resources Specialist. Prior to joining BBNC, Kinka worked for First Rate Financial as a mortgage loan processor. In her new position, Kinka’s main responsibilities are to support BBNC’s land department by maintaining land files, coordinating activities and performing administrative duties. Kinka holds an associate’s degree and is currently working  toward a bachelor’s degree in rural development.
