(ANCHORAGE Alaska) Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) provides a traveler advisory program - 511. This program offers current information on road conditions updated frequently by DOT&PF Maintenance Operators.

"We encourage all travelers to use the 511 program for current up-to-date information," said Brenda Hewitt, spokesperson for ADOT&PF. "This is the fastest way to find out the conditions of the road by our crews that are working around the clock to maintain the roads."
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) oversees 254 airports, 11 ferries serving 33 communities, 5,700 miles of highway and 660 public facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The mission of ADOT&PF is to “Get Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.”
