Title VII Indian Education program hosts college and scholarship fair

 ASD's Title VII Indian Education program will host a College and Scholarship Fair Saturday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the ASD Education Center, 5530 E. Northern Lights Blvd. The event is open Alaska Native and American Indian 11th  and 12th grade students and their families.

 The event will kick-off with a keynote address by Jeff Kinneeveauk, President and CEO of ASRC Energy Services. Participants will then attend their choice of breakout sessions.

 Topics include:


  FAFSA and UAA Scholarships

  RRANN and NWDP at UAA's School of Nursing

  Understanding Financial Aid and the FAFSA

  Alaska Performance Scholarship 101

  Scholarship and College Admissions Essay Writing

  Finacial Aid 101

  Establishing Financial Success

  ANSEP: Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program

  specific Native Corporation break-out sessions


In  addition, there will be representatives present from many Native Corporations and in-state postsecondary schools:
