With the growing interest in producing energy from biomass, there is a need to holistically evaluate the sustainability factors and the environmental concerns associated with the feedstocks – whether forest residue or dedicated energy crops. Speakers will discuss the variables of the ongoing biomass energy debate, examining current efforts to address environmental concerns, ecological sustainability and integrity, and the potential human health impacts.
