Artist, Art Advocate, and Art business of the year

Dear Greater Sitka Arts Council members, friends, and supporters, 
The arts council again is seeking nominations for the artist, art
advocate, and art business of the year, 2011. This is an expansion of
last year where we just asked for  the artist of the year. If you
have a person, group, or business please feel free to place a
nomination, they are due by Feb 15th. See the below PSA for all the

The Greater Sitka Arts Council seeks nominations for the following
annual awards:
Sitka Artist of the Year Award
Sitka Art Advocate of the Year Award
Sitka Art Business of the Year Award
  
The Greater Sitka Arts Council seeks nominations for the Sitka
Artist, Arts Advocate, and Sitka Art Business of the Year FY 2011 –
who will be recognized during the 5th Annual Arti Gras Music and Art
Festival. The closing date for entries is 15th February 2012. 

The chosen finalists will be notified by 20 March 2012. The winners 
will be chosen by the Board of the Greater Sitka Arts Council. 

The three categories are above. 

The overall idea is to recognize an artist,arts advocate, 
and art business that live and work in Sitka, contributing 
through outstanding works in music, writing, dance,theater, 
any other art form, or advocacy. To submit your nomination
write a brief statement, not more than one page, why they 
ought to be recognized and email to Sitkaarts@yahoo.com
