AEA Releases Draft Energy Plan for Southeast Alaska
Public Comment Period Begins
(Anchorage) –The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA), in collaboration with Southeast Conference and the Southeast Alaska Integrated Resource Plan (SEIRP) Advisory Work Group, today released the draft Southeast Alaska Integrated Resource Plan for public review and comment.
“This plan provides options for right-sized, cost effective, community-based solutions,” said AEA Executive Director Sara Fisher-Goad. “We are very pleased to work with Southeast Conference and the Advisory Work Group in this regional effort, and we encourage the public to be involved.”
The Southeast Alaska Integrated Resource Plan is available from AEA’s home page, akenergyauthority.org.
AEA welcomes written comments, which can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org; faxed to (907) 771-3044 Att: SEIRP; or mailed to SEIRP / Alaska Energy Authority / 813 West Northern Lights Boulevard / Anchorage, Alaska 99503. AEA must receive comments by 5:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2012.
During this public comment period and as part of the Southeast Conference mid-session summit on March 13 in Juneau, there will be a technical conference on the Southeast Alaska Integrated Resource Plan. Conference details will be published on AEA’s website later this month.
Alaska Energy Authority is a public corporation of the state whose mission is to reduce the cost of energy in Alaska.
