Tunista Construction Awarded $1.6M Fairbanks Construction Job
· Tunitsa Construction, LLC, was founded in August 2009, awarded its first contract in December 2009, and received 8(a) certification in September 2010. Tunista Construction is wholly-owned by Calista Corporation.
· Fairbanks North Star Borough Design/Build Construction Contract:
o Award amount: $1.6 million
o Award timeline: Summer 2011.
o Award scope: A design/build construction job for electrical renovation at Weller Elementary School. Replace existing lighting and light controls; disposal of PCB ballasts; demolition and install of new suspended ceiling; upgrading some exterior lighting.
