Mayor Sullivan Mourns The Passing Of Former Chief of Staff Larry Crawford
ANCHORAGE- Larry Crawford, Senior Policy Advisor and former Chief of Staff to Mayor Dan Sullivan, died at home Fri., Dec. 31, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Crawford had a long and distinguished public service career, serving as City Manager and Budget Director for several mayors, including Mayor Sullivan's father George Sullivan. He also served as Chief of Staff for former Governor Bill Sheffield.
Crawford led Mayor Sullivan's transition team prior to joining the administration.
"Larry Crawford was one of the finest public servants Anchorage has ever known. He was totally selfless and committed to making local government more efficient and responsive. He was a great friend and advisor and my family and executive staff will miss him tremendously. We send our condolences to his wife, Susan Lindemuth and all of his family," Mayor Sullivan said.
