Dana Stabenow's January 2011 Roadhouse Report
One month and counting...
...until the publication of Though Not Dead, the 18th Kate Shugak novel! It has already been praised by Publisher's Weekly as "brilliant," Kirkus as "fascinating," Booklist as "standout," and a Danamaniac as "wonderful." Join me on February 1st at the Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale, on launch day, where I will lovingly inscribe your very own copy, which you may reserve by clicking here. If you can't be there in person, they will mail it to you.
And -- ta dah! -- Barb Nissen of Minneapolis, Minnesota wins the fourth and last ARC of Though Not Dead! She says, "Wow, I'm having trouble believing this. I don't win things." You did this time, Barb, congratulations!
"But wait, there's more!" she said in her very best Ron Popeil imitation. Thanks to the generosity of Macmillan Audio, as a Roadhouse Report subscriber you are eligible to win one of five free, signed audio copies of Though Not Dead, narrated by the fabulous Marguerite Gavin. Winners will be announced on my website on February 8th, exactly one week after the hardcover comes out.
Watch the website for news of Le Tour 2011. Last I heard, I'll be appearing in Scottsdale, Seattle, Juneau, Fairbanks and Anchorage. And in the meantime, you can follow the Teaser Tuesdays.
A Cold Day for Murder in hardcover
The very first Kate Shugak novel, A Cold Day for Murder, is making its debut in hardcover! Click here to reserve your copy and I'll sign it for you at the Poisoned Pen on February 1st, when I sign your copy of Though Not Dead. A Stabenow two-fer, how can you go wrong? Don't answer that...
Thank Patrick Hoi Yan Cheung for the fab cover. Poisoned Pen Press (or as I like to call them, P-to-the-Third-Power) will also be bringing out A Fatal Thaw and Dead in the Water , also in hardcover, later on. As you will recall, the first three Kate Shugak novels were paperback originals in their first incarnation, and the second and third Kate Shugak novels have been out of print for years. I am beyond thrilled.
The Liam Campbell series in e-format
The original plan, she said ruefully, was to have all four Liams up in all possible e-formats the week before Christmas. It turns out the approval processes at Apple and Amazon move in mysterious and veerrrry sloooow ways. Click here for links to download Fire and Ice, aka Liam1, absolutely free (or as close to it as Amazon and B&N will let us get). I'm tweeting buy links for the other three as they become available. When, at long last, all four books are available in all the available e-formats, I'll put up a post with all the links.
There will be more Liam news later this year, and that's all I'm saying for now. Friend me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, watch the website, and subscribe to the newsletter for more news as it happens.
