Sen. Begich and events honoring Dr. Martin Luther King holiday

On Sunday, Jan. 17 - Sen. Begich will be a speaker at the Martin Luther King Day of Service Holiday Commemoration Event begins at 3  pm at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts

On Monday, Jan. 18 - Sen. Begich is part of the noontime presentation at the Mt. View Boys & Girls Club

Hosted by the Alaska Bar Association and Alaska Court System, there will be a free all-day legal clinic with volunteer attorneys providing advice in the areas of family, landlord-tenant laws and public benefits laws.

A luncheon entitled "Tribute to King" will feature presentations and comments from state and local leaders, including Sen. Begich.

It is scheduled from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The legal clinic is all day.
