Governor Parnell Issues Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Message

January 18, 2010, Juneau, Alaska - Governor Sean Parnell issued the following statement today in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

"Today, we pause to reflect on the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a visionary who dedicated his life to ending racial discrimination. His dream of equality for all has become our dream and that has shaped our nation. On this day, we honor Dr. King's life of public service. We are thankful for the inspiration, courage and wisdom of Dr. King and the many others in the civil rights movement who fought and continue to fight for equality and justice."
