Federal Subsistence Board to Meet in Anchorage January 12, 2010

Dec. 31, 2009

The Federal Subsistence Board will meet Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2009 starting at
8:30 a.m. at the Coast International Inn, 3450 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage,
Alaska. The meeting may continue on Wednesday, Jan. 13, if the Board has
not addressed all the agenda items.

The Board will consider 44 projects proposed for funding under the
Fisheries Resource Monitoring Program.  The Fisheries Resource Monitoring
Program was established in 2000 to increase the quantity and quality of
information available for management of subsistence fisheries.  In
addition, the Board will review several wildlife regulatory closures and
take public comment on a proposed rule that would clarify its process for
accepting and addressing special action requests. The public is welcome at
this meeting.

Meeting materials can be found on the “Federal Subsistence Board” page of
the Federal Subsistence Management Program website,
http://alaska.fws.gov/asm/home.html.  Questions about the meeting agenda or
requests for reasonable accommodations should be directed to Gary Goldberg
at (800) 478-1456 or (907) 786-3834 or by e-mail, Gary_Goldberg@fws.gov.
