Congressman Young Comments on Pipeline Project Open Season PlanWashington, D.C. - Alaskan Congressman Don Young released the following statement today after learning that the Alaska Pipeline Project filed its open season plan with the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC):
"This filing is an important step in the process of natural gas development for Alaska, and I am pleased to see the project continuously advancing," said Rep. Young. "Alaska needs the economic opportunity this pipeline can bring, and the quicker, and more efficiently the process moves along, the better for everyone. As we embark on one of the largest investments into our energy future, I am encouraged that the end result could be one of our greatest ventures. Alaska will continue producing for the country, and that is something our great state can be very proud of."
