19th FS Hosts Make A Wish Child for ‘Pilot For A Day’

ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska - The 19th Fighter Squadron will host 13-year old Brendan, a child with a life-threatening medical condition, and his family Friday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for a tour of the wing's flying operations as part of its "Pilot-for-a-Day" program.

Brendan will be provided the opportunity to brief with the pilots, climb into a jet with his name on it, tour a C-17 Globemaster III and get a ride in a Super Cub piloted by 19th Fighter Squadron Honorary Commander, Leah Sommer.
