Small business workshops offered in Anchorage

Three small business workshops will be offered at the Anchorage district Cooperative Extension office Wednesdays, March 5 - 19.

The workshops are co-sponsored by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service and SCORE, a nonprofit association that offers free small business mentoring and low-cost workshops taught by business professionals.

The workshops will run from 6 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday. They are Fundamentals of Starting Your Small Business, March 5; Demystifying the Financials of Your Business Plan, March 12; and Taking Your Business from Plan to Reality, March 19. Sabrina Peterson, a SCORE mentor with business plan expertise, will teach the workshops.

The workshops are $40 each or all three for $100. The district Extension office is located at 1675 C St., Suite 100. For more information or to register, contact Peterson at Sabrina.Peterson@SCOREvolunteer.org or Kathryn Dodge at kdodge@alaska.edu.
