Sen. Lisa Murkowski to Deliver Opening Keynote Address at CERAWeek 2014
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) on Monday will deliver the opening keynote address at the CERAWeek energy conference in Houston, Texas.
Murkowski, the top Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, will focus her remarks on the issue of lifting the ban on U.S. crude oil exports, a discussion she spearheaded in January with a speech at the Brookings Institution. Murkowski will also highlight her energy exports white paper, entitled A Signal to the World: Renovating the Architecture of U.S. Energy Exports, which continues to build on the energy blueprint she first laid out in Energy 20/20 – A Vision For America’s Energy Future.
CERAWeek is the energy industry’s preeminent gathering of industry leaders and government officials, offering new ideas, insight, and discussions on major strategic issues facing the global energy industry. The annual conference is put on by Daniel Yergin and IHS Energy. More on CERAWeek is available on the conference’s website.
