Division of Oil and Gas issues 2013 Annual Report

Anchorage, AK) – The Alaska Department of Natural Resources Division of Oil and Gas today released its 2013 Annual Report.

“This report describes the division’s 2013 efforts and highlights its accomplishments,” said Division Director Bill Barron. “Our goal is to manage Alaska’s oil and gas in the best interests of the State, and we do this in a dynamic environment where technologies and markets are constantly changing.”

The 34-page report outlines the 2013 achievements of each of the Division’s eight sections: resource evaluation, leasing, permitting, petroleum system integrity, commercial, units, accounting and auditing. The report includes graphs showing oil and gas royalty and production values, resources and production statistics, and permitting and planning work, as well as maps showing 2013 oil and gas-related activities by agencies and companies on the North Slope and in Cook Inlet.
