Rep. Kawasaki to Host Constituent Meeting to Discuss the 28th Alaska Legislature
Fairbanks – Representative Scott Kawasaki will host a town hall meeting in Fairbanks on Saturday, March 2nd. The meeting will be held at the Noel Wein Library Conference Room from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. Representative Kawasaki invites Fairbanksans to a discussion on issues like the budget, oil tax breaks for big oil companies, education and the rising price of energy.
“The Legislature is in the midst of discussing extremely important issues for the Interior and the state,” Kawasaki said. “Public input is critical in this process and I look forward to having an open, honest conversation.”
Representative Kawasaki is on the House Finance Committee and numerous Budget Subcommittees.
Other events Rep. Kawasaki will attend include the Governor’s Cup hockey game between the Alaska Nanooks and the UAA Seawolves at the Carlson Center at 7 pm on Friday and an informal lunch at Bahn Thai Restaurant following the Saturday constituent meeting.
