KASH for Kids 14th Annual Radiothon Supports the Children’s Hospital at Providence
Radiothon broadcasts live 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Feb. 7 and Feb. 8
ANCHORAGE, AK – KASH Country 107.5 will broadcast the 14th annual KASH for Kids radiothon from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, and Friday, Feb. 8. The radiothon raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network in Alaska, with one hundred percent of donations going to support the unique services provided at The Children’s Hospital at Providence.
The radiothon will feature stories about children and families treated at the children’s hospital. KASH DJs Jimmy and Roxi of The Morning Moo will highlight the doctors, nurses and staff who care for ill children every day. Community support from this event will help ensure these children receive the best care possible right here in Alaska.
During the radiothon, the Chains of Caring linking ceremony will also be held. Local schools have been fundraising for The Children’s Hospital at Providence by selling paper chain links for 25 cents. During the ceremony, students throughout the Anchorage School District will present their donations and link their chains together for a special display. ASD Superintendent Jim Browder will be present to speak about the program, as well as Richard Mandsager, MD, chief executive of Providence Alaska Medical Center, and Kate Mohr, executive director of The Children’s Hospital at Providence.
Over the past 13 years, in cooperation with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, KASH listeners have pledged more than $1,000,000 in support for The Children’s Hospital at Providence.
