2013 ASO FREE Neighborhood Concert

The Anchorage Symphony Performs Free
Neighborhood Concert at Chugiak High School

Anchorage, AK – Thanks to generous contributions from founding sponsor, the Atwood Foundation and the Music for My Neighbor Fund, the Anchorage Symphony is performing a FREE Neighborhood Concert, Saturday, March 23, at 2pm at Chugiak High School.

The concert is free and open to the public on a first, come, first served basis; seating begins at 1:30pm.  Patrons are advised to arrive early as seating is limited.  “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve more of our neighbors,” says ASO Executive Director Sherri Burkhart Reddick.

ASO Music Director Randall Craig Fleischer says, “It’s going to be a totally informal, totally user-friendly, wear-your-jeans kind of concert.  I’ll be talking with the audience about the pieces and I’ve chosen the repertoire to be completely approachable for everyone.  It should be tons of fun.”

Audience members will enjoy varying types of symphonic music including works like Jupiter (from The Planets), Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Star Wars and much more.

This event is not ticketed, but seating is limited.

This concert is supported by founding sponsor,
the Atwood Foundation and the Music for My Neighbors Fund.

In partnership with the Anchorage School District and Chugiak High School.
