The National Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) announces its Northernmost Chapter—SMPS Alaska Chapter
Alaska is the 50th state to form a chapter of SMPS and proud to announce its 2012 Board of Directors. SMPS now has 58 Chapters nationally.
ANCHORGE, ALASKA (February 8, 2012) – Founded in 2011, SMPS Alaska’s mission is to advocate for, educate, and connect leaders in the building industry. SMPS’ vision is for premiere professional service firms to recognize SMPS as their most trusted resource for building business and achieving success. The SMPS community works to secure profitable business relationships for their architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) companies through networking, business intelligence, and research. They offer monthly luncheons, webinars, and various events that benefit their members and the Alaska business community. SMPS is a member-based organization that replaces the AEMAA (Architecture/Engineering Marketing Association of Alaska).
The 2012 board of directors is as follows: President, Skip Bourgeois (UIC Construction Services); President-Elect, Leah Boltz (Bettisworth North Architects and Planners); Treasurer, Cheryl Jemar (USKH); Secretary, Jessica Taft (Enterprise Engineering); Director of Membership, Andrea Story (R&M Consultants); Director of Programs, Louis Gire (PCL Construction Services); Director of Communications, Shannon Kinsey (ECI/Hyer Architecture and Interiors); Director of Sponsorship, Crystal Barnes (McCool Carlson Green Architects); and Director of Scholarships, Don Love (Architects Alaska).
