Ten Solstice Advertising Clients Recognized with Public Relations Awards Ceremony and Award Announcements Made


Anchorage, AK – On Jan. 26, 2012 Solstice Advertising was the recipient of 12 Public Relations Society of America–Alaska Chapter (PRSA) awards, more than any other agency in the state. Solstice Advertising’s recognition is also notable because it included acknowledgment across a full suite of public relations and advertising services with awards in video, Web, print and strategy.

Ten of Solstice Advertising’s clients were honored by the PRSA for being among the best of Alaska communications in 2011. Among the Solstice clients awarded were Calista Corporation, Donlin Gold, Doyon Emerald, Girl Scouts of Alaska, La Bodega, Sitnasuak Native Corporation, State of Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources – Alaska Grown program, Tikigaq Native Corporation and the U.S. Forest Service.

Two different types of awards were presented: Aurora Awards for campaigns and Awards of Excellence for single campaign elements. The awards were based on several standards of merit, including look, message and impact.

The Alaska Chapter of PRSA was established in 1973, and is part of the national and world’s largest public relations organization chartered in 1947.
