State Energy Data Release - Feb. 17, 2012
State-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for liquefied petroleum gases and other petroleum products through 2010
State-level estimates for liquefied petroleum gases and other petroleum products, for data year 2010, are available at SEDS Updates. Other petroleum products represent 16 products, including still gas, petroleum coke, petrochemical feedstocks, and pentanes plus.
There are several changes in the methodology used to estimate these data for the 2010 cycle. A new conversion factor is used to convert liquefied petroleum gases consumed into British thermal units. In addition, new methods are used to allocate U.S. consumption of petrochemical feedstocks and pentanes plus to the States. For a full list of changes, see Data and Methodology Changes.
The State Energy Data System (SEDS) provides annual State-level estimates of energy consumption, prices, and expenditures by sector and energy source. A full set of State-level estimates for all fuels, all sectors, and all years through data year 2010 will be released by the end of June 2012.
