Rondy Media Center to Assist Journalists
Anchorage, Alaska – Visiting and local journalists and photographers can take advantage of a media center during Anchorage Fur Rendezvous this year. Organized and staffed by Visit Anchorage for Anchorage Fur Rendezvous, the center will provide information on “Rondy” events and stories, assist with media interviews and offer updates to key media outlets.
The center is on D Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues and will be open from 9-5 p.m. Feb. 24-26 and 8-5 p.m. March 2-3. Additional hours will be added if necessary.
Visit Anchorage’s mission is to attract and serve visitors to the Municipality of Anchorage while building and diversifying the Anchorage economy. Visit Anchorage’s marketing functions are funded by one-third of the bed tax collected by lodging facilities. One-third goes to the Municipality’s general fund, and one-third to service the bond debt and operations of the Anchorage Convention Centers. Visit Anchorage receives no state or federal funds.
