KASH for Kids 13th annual radiothon broadcasts live to support The Children's Hospital at Providence
Anchorage, AK - KASH Country 107.5 will broadcast the 13th annual KASH for Kids radiothon live starting Wednesday, Feb. 8, from Providence Alaska Medical Center for 2 ½ days. The radiothon will feature stories about Alaska's children and families treated at The Children's Hospital at Providence.
KASH-FM DJs Jimmy and Roxi of The Morning Moo will highlight the doctors, nurses and staff who care for Alaska's children every day. KASH for Kids radiothon connects our community to the hearts and lives of patients, their families and raises money for the Children's Miracle Network in Alaska. Community support from this annual event will help ensure that our kids will receive the best care possible right here in Alaska. One hundred percent of donations made to Children's Miracle Network during the KASH for Kids radiothon will go to care for Alaska's kids and support the unique services provided at The Children's Hospital at Providence.
Additionally, the Chains of Caring linking ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9. Throughout January, local schools have been fundraising for The Children's Hospital at Providence by selling paper-chain links for 25 cents. During the ceremony, kids from schools throughout the Anchorage School District will present their donations and link their chains together for a special display. The Chains of Caring ceremony will take place at the KASH for Kids radiothon site and Jimmy and Roxi will feature the schools and their contributions.
