The Iron Dog is the worlds’s longest and toughest snow machine race ... covering over two thousand miles of remote terrain ... Putting Alaska's children on the path to success is a long tough job as well ...

To help, Anchorage businessman and first-time Iron Dog race participant John Witte is raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska through Speed4Needs.org ...Over the next several days, Mr. Witte will race his snow machine from Big Lake to Nome, and he has chosen to use his race as a way to raise funds and awareness for causes he cares about -- like Big Brothers Big Sisters (His daughter is a Big Sister) . You can help support his efforts, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska, by going to www.speed4needs.org clicking on the BBBS logo, and making your tax deductible gift today ... Do it and help John in helping to change the lives of Alaska’s children for the better, forever.

You can also follow him throughout the race on our facebook page, where we'll post regular updates on his progress (www.facebook.com/bbbsak).  Or visit the Iron Dog race page at www.irondograce.org to learn more about John and the Iron Dog event, and to track the racers using GPS!
