Alaska Regional Hospital hosts annual “A Change of Heart” health fair this Saturday
Anchorage, AK (February 22, 2012)—Alaska Regional Hospital will host its annual “A Change of Heart” health fair on Saturday, February 25, as part of its ongoing heart health education efforts associated with American Heart Month.
The free event is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby and will feature free labs, blood pressure screenings, hands-only CPR, chair massages, food and exercise demonstrations, and heart-related education displays.
A series of mini seminars will also cover stress management, the benefits of exercise, and other topics that teach Alaskans how to manage and prevent heart disease, which is the No. 1 cause of death in the United States.
