Anchorage, Alaska — Strategies 360, one of the leading strategic communications and positioning firms in the Northwest, is expanding its Anchorage office with the leadership of former state lawmaker Ethan Berkowitz.

As Senior Vice President, Ethan brings an extensive and distinguished background of working in the public and private sectors to S360. He will focus on expanding operations, providing high quality services and offering his strong strategic counsel.

Ethan also served ten years in the Alaska House of Representatives, and was the state’s Democratic Leader for eight years. As a state legislator, he won national recognition for his distinguished service to Alaska, and championed many issues, including fiscal responsibility and energy policy. His focus on energy and infrastructure issues carried over to the private sector, where he has worked on renewable energy and broadband projects across Alaska. Most recently, Ethan was the 2010 Democratic nominee for Alaska Governor.

“Ethan’s depth of knowledge and understanding of Alaska is unique and special,” said Ron Dotzauer, S360 CEO and co-founder. “He truly knows what Alaskans care about and how to successfully get a message across in Alaska’s political environment. Plus, he brings years of experience to the table.”

Ethan is also an entrepreneur who founded an alternative energy firm, owns several restaurants and is the principal in a commercial real estate firm. His multifaceted background includes experience as an Assistant District Attorney. He is a graduate of Harvard University and has a law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.

“We are thrilled to have a national political figure of Ethan’s stature join us at Strategies 360,” said Eric Sorenson, president and co-founder. “And, Ethan’s expertise in running businesses and tackling complex business issues will help our clients create the environment for success.”
