New COO named at Denali Alaskan FCU
Anchorage – Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union has promoted Lily Li to Chief Operating Officer (COO). She is responsible for overseeing Branch Operations, which includes the Credit Union’s 17-branch network and the inbound and outbound call centers of the Member Contact Center, the Central Operations department, which handles ACH operations, wires and share draft processing, the Risk Management, Facilities Department and Loan Administration Departments, and vendor/product management.
She had previously served as the Credit Union’s Senior VP of Central Operations, and as Vice President, Internal Audit and Compliance before accepting the new position as COO. Prior to joining Denali Alaskan, Li had more than 17 years experience in finance, accounting and auditing with the Municipality of Anchorage, KPMG and several Alaska banks. She is a CPA, and a member of the Alaska Society of CPAs, the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of CPAs.
She received a degree in management science from Alaska Pacific University and an accounting degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She earned a master’s degree in Global Finance from Alaska Pacific University. Li is a NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer, having passed a testing series covering the major federal regulations governing credit union operations: lending, discrimination, share accounts and privacy/security.Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is the third largest credit union in Alaska, with more than 56,000 members and assets in excess of $450 million.
