Governor Parnell Amends Proposed BudgetGovernor Sean Parnell submitted FY2012 budget amendments to legislators. The amendments propose changes to the operating and capital budgets released to the public and Legislature on December 15, 2010.
The FY 2012 operating budget amendments request $17 million in general funds and $35.8 million in total funds. Many of the amendments reflect increases in the current year budget that have already been forwarded to the legislature in the FY 2011 supplemental bill including senior benefits, public health nursing, and corrections. The proposed amendments also address child protection, Medicaid fraud, mining, land, and water permitting, public safety, and rural airport operations.
The proposed amendments to the FY2012 capital spending plan total $112.9 million, most of which consists of federal highway and aviation program funds.
