Florcraft/Carpet One General Manager Appointed to Anchorage Port Commission
Fairbanks, AK, —Patrice Case, General Manager of Florcraft Carpet One was appointed to the Anchorage Port Commission. This special honor is awarded to those who demonstrate a significant commitment to the Anchorage business community and the economic development of the region.
The Port Commission consists of nine members who are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the assembly. Its role is to regulate the operation of the terminal and transportation facilities by promulgating a terminal tariff containing rates, charges, rules and regulations applicable at the port and subject to the approval of the assembly and the Federal Maritime Commission.
Case has managed Florcraft Carpet One for 5 years and is known throughout the state as a dedicated philanthropic leader. She serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Breast Cancer Detection Center in Fairbanks and contributes her time to other non-profits including the Rotary Club of Fairbanks, and the American Heart Association.
Case says, “I am honored by this appointment and look forward to serving the city of Anchorage and participating in the operation and growth of the port.”
Florcraft Carpet One is family-owned and has been in business in Anchorage and Fairbanks for nearly 50 years.
The Anchorage location is at 145 East Fifth Avenue and the Fairbanks location is at 1991 Fox Avenue. Both stores are open Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
