Alaska Children's Services Announces New CEO
Anchorage, AK - The Board of Directors of Alaska Children's Services is pleased to announce the selection of Denis McCarville, MSW, as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
For the past 22 years, Denis has served as CEO of Uta Halee/Cooper Village Residential Treatment Centers in Omaha, Nebraska. There he implemented the Sanctuary Model for the provision of trauma-informed treatment and care. He has also been a member of the faculty of the Georgetown Institute and the University of Nebraska Omaha.
Denis has been very active National Association for Children's Behavioral Health having served as the organization's President, Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors.
Instrumental in developing Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's
(SAMHSA) Building Bridges Initiative, Denis co-hosted the first three forums, which were held in Omaha. The Building Bridges Initiative promotes collaboration between families, youth and the organizations involved in their care.
Alaska Children's Services is a private non-profit organization bringing hope to troubled young lives through a broad range of psychiatric services from residential treatment to home-based services including therapeutic foster care.
