AVTEC Seeks Renewable Energy Instructor

Renewable Energy Instructor

AVTEC in Seward is seeking a qualified individual to develop and deliver renewable energy related operations and maintenance training programs at AVTEC in support of Alaska's efforts to expand renewable energy power generation sources. Initial focus will be directed to wind turbine and hydro power generation.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of four years recent journey level trade experience as electrical technician or related field.  Must have at least one year experience maintaining wind turbines.  Must be qualified to climb and have small space confinement training.

Desired Qualifications: In addition to minimum qualifications, it is desired that applicants possess a degree in electrical engineering or closely related field and have experience in power generation operations and maintenance, particularly as related to integration of alternative energy sources.

Salary: $44.2K - $57.8K dependent upon education and experience for 10-month instructional year.
