The AGC is sponsoring a construction scheduling seminar for AGC members designed for individuals that are new to scheduling or that want to brush up on the basics for creating a CPM schedule. The goal of this training seminar is to introduce scheduling concepts and terminologies so that attendees can start developing project plans Guest speaker, Patrick Lovelace, President of Nu Solutions Consulting, will discuss topics such as:

- Scheduling Software
- Resource/Cost Loading
- What is a Work Breakdown Structure?
- What is Float and how it managed?
- What are constraints and when should they be used?
- How do changes affect schedule?

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Anchorage Post, is sponsoring Reviewing and Analyzing Critical Path Method (CPM) Construction Schedule training seminar on February 19, 2010 at the Captain Cook Hotel. Cost for this training course is $150 for non-military and $50 for military personnel.

The goal of this training is to demystify CPM scheduling. After this course you will have a higher proficiency in reviewing baseline and progress construction schedules, and performing change order time impact analyses. This same course is currently being taught to the US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District.
