AFN Delegates to Testify on Omnibus Energy BillHouse Energy Committee Meets This Thursday
(JUNEAU) - The House Special Committee on Energy will fulfill the promise it made last fall at the Alaska Federation of Natives Conference this Thursday when it takes testimony from AFN delegates on the House Special Committee on Energy's Omnibus Energy Bill.
Co-chairs Rep. Bryce Edgmon, D-Dillingham and Rep. Charisse Millett, R-Anchorage, agreed to hold a special meeting for AFN members in Juneau after conducting the first ever legislative committee meeting at last year's AFN Conference in Anchorage.
The omnibus bill (HB 305) combines several pieces of energy related legislation introduced during the previous session. It is the product of several field hearings the committee held across the state that gave Alaskans the opportunity to speak out on what legislation can assist them with their energy needs.
