Apply Now for Your 2014 PFD
Juneau, Alaska – The 2014 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) application period is now open. To file an application, go online to www.pfd.alaska.gov, or obtain a paper application at one of our community distribution sites. A list of sites is available by using the search tool on the PFD website, or by calling the division.
“In 2013, the division received 557,598 online applications, just over 83% of total applications received for the 2013 PFD application period,” said PFD Director Dan DeBartolo. “I encourage all Alaskans to discover the convenience of applying for a PFD electronically.”
The ability to make contributions to the UA College Savings Program and Pick.Click.Give continue to be available for those wishing to save or share their 2014 PFD. More information about the programs can be found on the division’s website.
If you would like to file online, but lack access to the Internet, public computers are available in all PFD offices, some public libraries, Legislative Information Offices, and some of our participating community distribution sites.
Some “myAlaska” users may need to revalidate their account this year in order to electronically sign their PFD application due to an upgrade of the software. Managed by the Alaska Department of Administration, “myAlaska” is an independent identity verification option for those who want to skip sending in a mailed signature page. You are not required to use “myAlaska” in order to file a PFD application online. However, if you decide to not use “myAlaska,” you will need to print, sign, and mail the signature page.
To keep up on what is happening at the division, you may now “like” us on Facebook by visiting www.facebook.com/PFDofficial. To view details about your submitted application, visit our website and click on the “myPFDinfo” button.
The 2014 PFD application period ends Monday, March 31. If you file online, make sure you receive a confirmation number. Mailed applications postmarked after March 31, will be considered late. The amount of the 2014 dividend will be announced in mid-September, and paid to eligible Alaskans on October 2.
