REAP Hosts Forum on Iceland Policy Tour Wednesday Evening
Local leaders report on Iceland’s energy and infrastructure development
Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) will be hosting a Clean Energy Forum on energy and infrastructure development in Iceland. This free event is a part of REAP’s ongoing 2012-2013 Clean Energy Lecture Series. December's forum is co-hosted by the Institute of the North.
Nils Andreassen, Executive Director of the Institute of the North, will report on his organization’s recent policy tour of Iceland. He will highlight what the country is doing to advance renewable energy, specifically focusing on the development of geothermal and hydroelectric resources in the region.
Other policy makers and business leaders who participated in the Iceland policy tour will attend the forum and provide additional input during Nils’ presentation.
The Forum is this Wednesday, December 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anchorage Museum Auditorium, 625 C Street (Please Use 7th Avenue entrance)
