New Oilfield Technology to Bring Local Jobs to Alaska

As more oil and gas operators set their sights on the Anchorage area, leading international oilfield services company, Expro, is unveiling a new Mobile Well Test Unit to meet demands and support the local economy.

This innovative technology will bring jobs to the region, as new employees will be needed to manage and crew the units.

The Mobile Well Test Unit will be unveiled at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage on Thursday, Dec. 13. Expro officials will be on hand at the event to talk about trends in the oil and gas industry and what this new technology means for the Anchorage community.
“Expro is strongly committed to hiring locals as it is critical to our success in Alaska,” said Chuck Firey, Expro Operations Manager in Alaska.  “We expect to hire new, local workers to manage and crew the units.”

Alaska is currently experiencing increased activity with new operators moving into the area, as well as established operators working to increase production. The Mobile Well Test Unit is designed and engineered to meet both the requirements of exploration and infield production Well Testing and Flow back operations.
