Murkowski Wishes Alaskans Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

“Let’s Not Forget Our Alaskan Spirit, That One-of-a-Kind Generosity That We Have For One Another”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Lisa Murkowski today offered the following statement in observance of Christmas:

“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!”

“As daylight wanes and snow falls, I’m reminded of the many Holiday traditions that we Alaskans share during this wonderful time of year. From harvesting your own Christmas tree, to ice skating on a nearby lake, we are all so very lucky to live in this winter wonderland.

“As Alaskan families gather to celebrate this joyous time of year, we must be thoughtful of the service men and women who are not here with their loved ones this holiday season. May you keep them and their families in your prayers as they stand ever vigilant to serve our country fearlessly, watch over us and keep us warm in the comfort of their safety.

“This Christmas season let’s not forget our Alaskan spirit, that one-of-a-kind generosity that we have for one another.  I hope you will use this special time of year to celebrate all that is good in Alaska; to count your blessings, to focus on family, friends, good health and making new traditions.

“From my family, to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy, Happy New Year.”
