Low Interest Federal Disaster Loans for Alaskans
MAT-SU—If your home or business was damaged by the September federal flood disaster in the Mat-Su Borough, here's an avenue for a low interest loan to fund repairs. The US Small Business Administration is offering loans of up to $200,000 for homeowners to repair or replace damaged real estate, and up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged personal property. Businesses may borrow up to $2 million. Interest rates can be as low as 1.688 for homeowners, renters, 3 percent for nonprofits, and 4 percent for businesses.
