Sitka Arts Council Upcoming Events

Dear All, Thank you for your interest in the Greater Sitka Arts
Council, following are a few of the upcoming events you may want to
take note of. Have a Great and Happy Holiday season.

December 8th –Arts Conversation - Steve Lawrie and Gary Gouker will
each make a short presentation about their work/experiences and
philosophy and then open up for a conversation will all attendees.
Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m. at the Rasmuson Building on the Fine
Arts Campus. This event is a joint project of the Greater Sitka Arts
Council and the Sitka Fine Arts Camp.  

January 27th – The Community Theater Karaoke Fund Raiser at the
Westmark, this was for sure a fun event last year and goes towards
helping re establish Community Theater here in Sitka.

February 24th – Sitka Arti Gras and Sitka Folk present the Haunted
Windchimes in Concert. They were a hit on the Prairie Home Companion.

Sitka Arti Gras Music & Arts Festival –Feb 24 and March 10. Other
events to watch for the Annual Singer Song Writer event, 48 Hour Film
Festival, Scared Harp Signers, and Lets Grow Sitka Garden Expo, and
lots more.

March 2 and 3 – Annual Wearable Arts Show, two shows this time,
Friday March 2nd and Saturday march 3rd, 7pm a the Harrigan
Centennial Hall.

March 8 and 9th – Ray Troll will be here for the Arti Gras Festival
and the Arts Council  will host him in community workshops and a
evening with Ray at the Community House March 9th – a slide show,
potluck, and arts conversation.

April 28 – Mr. Whitekeys – an Alaska icon will be in Sitka at the
PAC with his troupe – you won’t want to miss this show.
